About Tyler

Tyler’s hockey story has an intriguing beginning. At the early age of seven, the sport immediately sparked his interest when he saw a game on TV. Although he didn’t know anyone who played and his family was unfamiliar with the game, he felt an innate need to participate in the sport. From that initial spark of interest, he began skating and has continued to perfect his skills on the ice ever since.

Tyler’s core values are what drive him in sports and in life. He strives to be a person of character who operates with integrity and places importance on hard work. Tyler also looks towards his Christian faith to guide him through life. Tyler’s teammates and friends jokingly call him the “Jesus Guru.”

Tyler thrives within the fast-paced environment that hockey facilities and uses a combination of his strategic mind, endless positivity, and physical strength to leave an impression on the ice.

Tyler’s Aspirations

Tyler strives to continue growing in his sports career and life. First and foremost, he plans to continue his hockey career in college.

Another goal Tyler possesses for his sports future is to partner with brands, organizations, and individuals that align with his values. He’s excited about the prospect of working with companies and individuals on causes, products, and services that he supports.

He wants to make a lasting impression on those around him as a man of Christian faith who is not afraid to express his love and devotion to Jesus. It’s important to Tyler that he displays excellent discipline and diligence while showing positivity.

Tyler’s heroes are his dad and one of his father’s closest friends, whom he has referred to as “uncle.” His uncle, Brad Kasal, serves as a source of inspiration since Tyler learned from his uncle’s experience as a Sergeant Major in the Marine Corp. Through those roles, his uncle showed him the significance of never giving up. After suffering a severe wound in combat, doctors wanted to amputate his leg. However, his uncle refused and still has his leg today. Although it took him time to recover, he remained on the field with his men because of its importance. His uncle’s unique life experience prompted Tyler to understand how significant and impactful it is to be physically, mentally, and spiritually strong.

Tyler has a few young fans now and is grateful for any opportunity to teach younger hockey players.
